Kerala Floods Emergency Appeal

Kerala Flood

Torrential rains, overflowing rivers and serial landslides have resulted in over 350+* deaths and displaced over 800,000 people across Kerala and affected over a million people. Out of 14 districts, 13 districts are affected in the worst rainfall the state has witnesses in over 100 years! The worst hit districts are Wayanad, Palakkad, Ernakulam, Idukki, Alappuzha, Pathanamthittaand Malappuram. Over 6.3 lakh people are staying in close to 3000 camps across the 14 districts.

The government has responded well with immediate rescue but the affected populations desperately need shelter materials, personal hygiene items and safe drinking water.

After assessing the situation on ground, Phia Foundation in partnership with our local partners is responding to support some of the worst affected communities in Wayanad and Idukki districts. We aim to reach out to 4000+ households (20000+ beneficiaries) in these 2 districts and support them with WASH(water sanitation and hygiene), NFI (Non-food item) and shelter kits.
