Mr Satish Kumar From DMKS Donates To Phia Foundation

It is a well-known fact that Rajasthan is highly prone to caste based discrimination and violence between upper caste and marginalized dalit community. Dalit Manavadikhar KendraSamiti and Centre for Dalit Rights, Rajasthan, India, is working in partnership with many national and international organizations on these access to justice issues for the last one decade.

Mr. Satish Kumar who is a well-known lawyer and a Chief Functionary of Dalit Manavidikhar Kendra Samiti works tirelessly for the welfare of the marginalized communities and provide legal interventions support to the community on caste based atrocities and other violence. Recently Mr. Satish Kumar was recognized for his outstanding work to Dalits community and had been presented with “Ambedkar Social Justice Award” by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan Smt Vasundhara Raje in a function held at Jaipur. Mr. Satish Kumar was presented with a cash award of INR 50000/-, trophy and a recognition certificate by the Rajasthan Government for his work. As a person committed to his work, Mr. Satish Kumar had donated the award money to organizations working exclusively on the access to justice issues. We are happy to inform you that Phia Foundation is also one of the recipient of donation from Mr. Satish Kumar.
